About Me

Hello! I’m Noah.

My journey through life can be described as non-normative. My circumstances taught me about the impacts of social exclusion; I know well the feeling of being different, of not belonging anywhere. I found my place in alternative spaces, including a queer collective where I got involved and lived for several years. There, I met other people who were different, facing various forms of oppression, living on the margins.

In my community of punks, queers, and outcasts, for the first time, I experienced an unconditional acceptance of difference—a complete openness to human diversity.

At the same time, I also witnessed the deep distress that comes with living on the margins, of only feeling accepted within our small affinity-based communities. I also witnessed the impact of the lack of services adapted to people from marginalized groups. Whether in mental health or sexual health, specialized services are as essential as they are rare.

That’s when I decided I wanted to study the ins and outs of Counselling and Sexology, so I could offer services to groups that are often forgotten or underserved by public programs. I wanted to give back to the community that had accepted me—not despite my difference, but embracing the full beauty of that difference.

Today, I am able to offer support that is sensitive to diversity, aware of the different dynamics of oppression that influence our development and sexual experiences. I don’t pretend to be an expert on your situation, but I’m ready to offer you my listening ear and unconditional acceptance.
